Antonia's food is a way to get inside her world. Her curiosity grew as she left for the Long Island suburbs to explore the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles. Black Market doesn't have one specific direction. That is their intention. It could start with chip dill, followed by shishitos peppers. Then comes a Korean wings and then a meatball course. Antonia anchors the bold range of flavours. Lofaso assesses the success she has had over the course of her career based on the innate ability she has to get to know her audience well and be loyal to her character. Her appearances on the Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars emphasized her ability to express herself outside the cooking environment. Since then she's continued to pursue her career in front of cameras with CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge and recurring appearances on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. In 2012, Lofaso collaborated with Penguin for the release of The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Quick Delicious Home-cooked Meals The book also describes the obstacles she faced while studying at the elite French Culinary Institute, and at the same time raising her daughter Xea.
